You are the first man I have ever loved. You are my hero. Your arms were the first place where I felt so safe and protected. The smile that comes on your face when you see me makes me feel cherished and adored.
Thank you for your attention. To be able to share with you and show you that my vulnerability has been so important to my development as a woman. You know when to advise me and simply wipe away my tears.

Thank you for not cheating. Your loyalty has helped me to trust men and to be attracted to healthy and loving relationships.
Thank you for being honest. I respect you and I respect your integrity. And your strong character inspired me to value and honor me.
Thank you for being a loving shoulder on which to cry when my heart broke and a hand too high to celebrate when I realized a dream.
Thank you for giving me advice when I need to negotiate an agreement, sign a lease or make a leap of faith. Your wisdom is golden to me.
Especially thank you daddy for being you. I know you are my father but you are also a human being, on your own path and learning your own lessons. Even if you have not done all these things, I know in my heart that you have been the perfect Father for me because you have taught me the lessons of life I need to learn.
